THREAT LEVELS For any prospective corporate client of TSCM services, choosing the correct threat level is the second most important decision they have to make after selecting a TSCM firm. The two are frequently inseparable. Unfortunately, there is no industry standard when it comes to establishing and delineating between the various threat levels that a prospective client must consider. You will find sweep teams with as few as two threat levels and as many as seven. Assessment of threat levels is only applicable to professional TSCM firms. It does not apply to amateurs. Disregard any TSCM tech that offers only one level. His cop out for inadequacy will usually sound something like this; “We only have one sweep level, our best”. That line of bull translates into English as “I have neither the knowledge base, experience or the equipment to offer sweeps customized and tuned to the client’s specific needs and requirements.” Therefore it is critical to be able to recognize the difference between amateurs and professionals. Please go to “HOW TO CHOOSE A TSCM FIRM” for this information.
