HOW CAN I TELL A PROFESSIONAL FROM AN AMATEUR?
|
WHAT IS TSCM? Believe it or not, there is no accepted definition for TSCM, even within the tradecraft. This is my short answer to that question. TSCM (Technical Surveillance Counter Measures) is the detection, identification and locating of eavesdropping devices, the purpose of which is to record and/or monitor audio or video within the home, office, car, cellular phone and telephone lines. It’s like privacy insurance. If you have personnel, hardware or software tasked with protecting information on your computer system, you are already ½ way towards that goal, but only ½ way. |
